Zebra Crossing were commissioned by the property PR agency Halogen to help devise a new brand identity for ‘The Upper Lee Valley’ a public sector venture to promote development and investment into this area of London, which runs from Liverpool Street, northwards along the Lee Valley, into Hertfordshire.

Starting with a brand workshop involving representatives from The Mayor’s Office, Halogen and the three London Boroughs, we went on to devise a brand that reflected the landscape of the area as a green corridor, the goals of the organisation and a sense of growth for the future.

Zebra Crossing design and digital teams then created a  short series of literature to launch the scheme and a website. The project included the commissioning of a series of stunning photographs that showcase the natural beauty of the area, provided by one of our partner suppliers, Joel Anderson Photography.

Through February ’07 we worked closely with Phones 4u, one of our largest clients, to deliver a set of awards entries to the Mobile News Awards. We blended characters from Phones 4u’s current advertising campaign with a pop art theme to produce a fun, ‘on-brand’ set of literature, with original illustrations by Zebra Crossing’s Chris Trotman.

Today we heard that Phones 4u were voted winners of the ‘Best National Advertising Campaign’ 2006/7,  so congratulations to them.

Helping Phones 4u win this award is especially satisfying for everyone at Zebra Crossing as we also work with them to deliver the TV and press campaigns that won the awards.
