Zebra Crossing Film Screening – A Double Premiere

    Saturday, December 1st, 2007

Room 32Last night saw the first public screening of Nic Franklin’s latest short film, Room 32.
Played to a full house of cast, crew and invited guests at the Rex Cinema, Piccadilly the film which is inspired by the Jim Morrison poem Room 32 was well received. It’s an emotional piece where the main character is a schizophrenic battling with his inner demons. The lead role is played superbly by Mark Dymond, (James Bond – Die Another Day; Blackball; Dungeons & Dragons; Northanger Abbey). Thanks go to everyone involved.

Also screened for the first time was the recently completed Music Promo for the fantastic new London Band ‘The Standards’. Filmed in two separate locations, we hired a full size Circus tent and performers during the summer of 07, completing filming in November at Big Sky studios in London’s Kings Cross. The band are performing to their single ‘Needless to Say’ in a ghoulish early 1900’s surrounding.

Directed by Nic Franklin and produced by Luke Hammersley, big thanks go to the band and all involved, but especially to DoP Joel Anderson and compositors Marc Khachfe and Siobhan Bowers who worked incredibly hard to produce such fantastic results. The promo has been entered into various film festivals around the world… watch this space.

    Capgemini Christmas DVD No 2

    Monday, December 18th, 2006

Following last year’s successful production of a Capgemini Christmas message, delivered on DVD in a Christmas card to all employees, we have again been commissioned to devise a fun but informative film for the comapny.

Spinning off an earlier production where we took two employees and set them up as talk show hosts, we again use these two characters, this time in a mock up of one of their homes, an ostentatious Georgian building in Grenwich. In a Christmas scene there are visited by various ‘guests’ from within the business who share their news from the year, often interrupted by the drunken butler, brilliantly played by one of the companies senior executives. There is also a cameo from the CEO who appears as a fortune telling gypsy, telling of things to come in 2007.

It is a pleasure to work with a company willing to have fun and engage with their workers on such an accessible level. Well done to all the talented Capgemini people involved.

    Tuxedo Money TV Commercial

Since helping the new Tuxedo Money Services company devise their brand we have gone on to write and produce through to air a new TV commercial for the company. The Tuxedo Blue Diamond card is a prepaid Mastercard that has been launched in conjunction with Barclays and the Post Office. The process of getting a new financial servicers product through BACC and ASA approval was a challenge we relished. The commercials have been clocked and are due for playout very soon.
