    HP – Global Viral Fun

    Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

TelecomTV commissioned Zebra Crossing to create three ads for their client HP (Hewlett Packard, not the brown sauce). The brief was to create a unique set of global ads that put HP at the cutting edge of communications.

“Woodstock”, “Rocket Man” and “Lost Tribe” were written, directed and produced by the zebra team of Nic Franklin, Mark Dymond and Luke Hammersley.

A massive thanks goes out to all involved:

Joel Anderson was our lens master, and as always brought magic to the photography; Amanda Linke simply did wonders in make-up. Not to mention Nathan Bayliss & Michael Ho (Soho Editors) for their After Effects wizardry, Ben Rogers (Glassworks) and Andrew Daniel (Molinare) for their delicate touch on the color grading balls, Marcus and the team at The Mews and a terrific sound mix by Nick Murphy at The Sound Company.

The ads were shot on location across three continents; in Charlottesville (Virginia, USA), London, Devon and Cape Town (South Africa).

‘Twas good times and everyone seems to have their favourite ad, which is yours?

Video and Audio work for Amnesty International

    Thursday, August 13th, 2009

We were recently pretty damn excited to be commissioned by Amnesty International to produce a set of audio and video for their annual week-long International Council Meeting in Antalya, Turkey.

The work comprised a 3-minute and a 30-second video, created mainly from AI’s own library footage, which was played at the opening of the meeting. We also produced a 3-minute audio loop for playing during recess and after closing each evening.

With the video and motion graphics edited in-house at Zebra, Sound Design was completed by Dan Darriba & Eddie Stevens at RMS and Dom Boucher at The Sound Company.

STEEL – The Digital Communications Agency

    Sunday, July 20th, 2008

Zebra Crossing were commissioned by STEEL to produce a business-to-business marketing showreel of their services.
Messages were carefully constructed and delivered by key staff on Stage 5 at Ealing Studios while additional footage was captured over two days in STEEL’s Wandsworth studio and around the capital.
Directed by Nic Franklin and produced by Luke Hammersley, the film was shot on HDCAM by Joel Anderson and Marc Cayford.
An original score was composed by Luke Hammersley, and to give the track a contemporary and urban feel we decided to record the track with the addition of The Standards.

    Music Promo for The Standards

    Tuesday, November 20th, 2007

We recently completed a music promo for the fantastic new London band ‘The Standards’. Filmed in two separate locations, we hired a full size Circus tent and performers during the summer of ’07, completing filming in November at Big Sky studios in London’s Kings Cross. The band are performing to their single ‘Needless to Say’ in a ghoulish early 1900’s surrounding.

Directed by Nic Franklin and produced by Luke Hammersley, big thanks go to the band and all involved, but especially to DoP Joel Anderson and compositors Marc Khachfe and Siobhan Bowers who worked incredibly hard to produce such fantastic results.

this will be replaced by the SWF.

Having developed the creative and managed the production / post production process all the way through to playout, the first TV commercial was released to ethnic specific channels in February 07, with playout through UK channels due in May, as a set of 30s, 10s, 5s versions.
